Manhwa Legends Evolution Guide
Evolution in Manhwa Legends can require scrolls, Workshop-crafted gear, quest progress, stage clears, takedowns, and specific unit sacrifices. Requirements vary by unit, so there is no single universal evolution recipe.
Evolution checklist
Before trying to evolve a unit:
- Read the unit's evolution requirements in-game.
- Claim any required quest before progressing it.
- Collect the required scrolls and gear.
- Complete the specified stage, wave, or takedown objective.
- Unequip the unit before using the evolution interface.
- Confirm any sacrifice requirement before submitting a unit.
Community footage specifically notes that equipped units cannot be evolved until they are removed from the active team.
Scrolls and the Universal Scroll
Scrolls are a standard evolution material. A daily challenge can reward a Universal Scroll, described by players as a blank scroll that can be used to craft elemental and grade-based scrolls.
Community footage shows it being used to craft:
- elemental scrolls such as Light, Dark, Fire, Water, Earth, and Air;
- grade scrolls such as A, S, B, C, and D.
See the Universal Scroll guide for the currently documented daily source.
Workshop evolution items
Some units need Workshop-crafted gear. Lloyd/Loid's evolution is shown requiring a Developer's Shovel, which is crafted at the Workshop.
Community references use both “Lloyd” and the in-game/wiki spelling “Loid.” This site uses Loid consistently for the unit page.
Violet Grace evolution requirements
Community guides agree on the main progression path for Violet Grace:
- Claim the Violet Grace evolution quest.
- Put Violet Grace on the team.
- Reach Wave 60 in Hidden Village or Hidden Sand Village Infinite.
- Obtain the required Red Parasite and Blue Parasite materials.
- Sacrifice one eligible unit: Ha Yori, Beylord, or Ha Yora.
- Unequip Violet Grace and complete the evolution.
Some transcripts describe this as “60 stages of infinites,” while clearer gameplay evidence describes reaching Wave 60 in the relevant Infinite stage. The wiki uses the Wave 60 interpretation because it is tied to a named map and visible quest progression.
Known evolution materials
| Material | Documented use |
|---|---|
| Universal Scroll | Crafts elemental and grade scrolls used in evolution loops |
| Developer's Shovel | Loid evolution requirement; crafted in the Workshop |
| Red Parasite | Violet Grace evolution material |
| Blue Parasite | Violet Grace evolution material |
Exact material costs are not yet available for every unit. Avoid applying requirements from one unit to another unless the in-game evolution panel shows the same item.
