Manhwa Legends Beginner Progression Guide
The safest beginner route in Manhwa Legends is to build a usable roster, clear Story on Normal and Hard, preserve scarce Trait Rerolls, and then branch into Guilds, Challenges, Chronicle stages, Infinite, and Raids.
1. Choose a starter and redeem Codes
New players receive a starter choice and early Gems. Before spending heavily, visit the Codes page and redeem any codes that still work in-game. Release codes can provide Gems, Trait Rerolls, scrolls, ores, and Gold.
Code status changes quickly, so an unsuccessful redemption should be treated as expired even if it remains in a third-party list.
2. Build an early team
Community tier guidance names the following accessible beginner options:
- Jong Youngha
- Kuma
- Wraithsinker
- Lee-Joh
- Andrassa as a useful early DPS/support option
Your first goal is not a perfect meta team. Build enough damage and support to clear Story while saving rare resources for units you expect to keep.
3. Use Summoning carefully
Summoning is available from the left-side interface or the lobby summon area. One gameplay source shows a 1,350 pity for “the big one,” but does not clearly identify the associated rarity. Check the current in-game banner and visible pity before spending Gems.
Secret Dreamer is not the same as the banner Secret. Its route uses Ancient and 1,850 Constellations.
4. Clear Story Normal and Hard
The release-era Story structure contains:
- Elven Forest
- Hidden Village
- Bridge
- five acts per world
- Normal, Hard, and Infinite options
Complete Normal first, then Hard. Community guidance recommends moving to Challenges and Chronicle stages after both difficulties are complete.
5. Farm Gems and Gold
An Ultimate Guide identifies Hidden Village Hard as a useful farming stage because of its short map. The source reports about 110 Gems per run in that version and recommends it for Gems and Gold.
Reward amounts can change, so verify the current clear reward before committing to a long farm session.
6. Save Trait Rerolls
Trait Rerolls are described as scarce. Use them in the Upgrade area, and avoid spending large amounts on a unit that will leave your team quickly.
Documented sources include Codes, quests, achievements, Battle Pass rewards, Guild Shop purchases, and Normalizing.
7. Unlock Guilds
Reach player level 10 to create or join a Guild. Guild progression can unlock shops, member slots, and boosts. Community footage reports a maximum of 60 members after leveling a Guild to 50.
Joining an active Guild early can provide more value than creating an inactive one by yourself.
8. Prepare for evolution
Evolution can require:
- elemental or grade scrolls;
- a Universal Scroll from daily challenges;
- Workshop gear such as Developer's Shovel;
- stage or wave objectives;
- specific unit sacrifices;
- unequipping the unit before evolution.
Always read the unit-specific requirement instead of copying another unit's recipe.
9. Move into endgame modes
After Story and roster development, progress through:
- Challenges
- Chronicle stages
- Infinite
- Raids
- Guild progression
- achievements and farming loops
Raids include a manual color mechanic, so they require attention even if your damage is high.
